In March 2010 at the age of 22, Kevin had a successful Bone Marrow Transplant after 6 months of chemo and radiotherapy. For Kevin the transplant was a cure!

This year he wants to do something significant to help raise both awareness and funds for the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust and with that in mind he decided to run 1,000km in 2023. Some people can do that in a few months but for Kevin, it’s a challenge, running just over 250km in 2022 in total, so there is a decent gap to fill!

He has broken it down into km per month (83) and per week (20). Sounds easy, but it doesn’t work like that. There will be rest periods, injuries no doubt, and days just not leaving the house to run.

Kevin hoped to raise €1 per km run, so €1,000 in total, a target he has now in his rear view mirror! If you can spare a euro, please help him see how far he can stretch his target Click Here and keep him motivated.  A big thanks from Kev to all those that have supported him and encourage him to continue his 2023 running odyssey!
