running with gratitude
Meet Tilly: This Saturday, Tilly Lonergan will take on the Dingle Half Marathon but for Tilly, this run is about so much more than 13.1 miles.
In 2025, Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust became an important source of support for Tilly’s family following her mam, Carla’s, bone marrow transplant.
BMLT was there for Tilly’s parents, Carla and Paddy, providing support during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. That support brought the family comfort, stability and peace of mind when they needed it most.
Now, tilly is turning that gratitude into action
She has chosen to take on the Dingle Half Marathon to raise funds for BMLT, a charity that has already made such a meaningful difference to her own family.
With race day just days away, Tilly will be taking on the beautiful but demanding Dingle course, putting all those training miles to the test.
Her fundraising has already reached an incredible €4,110.00, an amazing achievement before she has even crossed the start line.

Every donation is Tilly’s way of saying thank you and helping BMLT continue to be there for other patients and families facing the uncertainty of a bone marrow transplant.
Tilly, Carla, Paddy and Peter, thank you for turning your experience into something positive for other families. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
Good Luck, Tilly! We’ll be cheering you on every step, every hill and every kilometre this Saturday.
